Hi, my name is Federico, and I do math.
When I'm not doing math, I like to go outside and to learn new things like how to cook, code, play music, and fix stuff.
I speak English, Italian, and Farsi (Persian).
I am currently a math PhD student at the University of Calgary.
I completed my master's degree at Simon Fraser University, where I wrote a thesis on lattice path enumeration.
I completed my undergraduate degree at University of Waterloo, majoring in Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics with a Specialization in Physics.
I have also participated in some awesome nerd camps when I was younger:
ISSYP at the Perimeter insitute for Theoretical Physics
QCSYS at the Institute for Quantum Computing
Shad Valley at the University of Waterloo
Here is a list of some of the experiences I've had or am currently involved in
Teaching Assistant for the Math & Stats Department at the University of Calgary (2023-), for the Math Department at Simon Fraser University (2020-2023), and for the Faculty of Math at the University of Waterloo (2017-2019).
Undergraduate Researcher in Combinatorics at Simon Fraser University (2019).
Operations Lead and Online Tutor at a startup in Kitchener, Ontario (2016).
Private Tutor at wherever I happened to be at the moment, Canada (2013-).
President of the Physics Club at Burnaby South Secondary School in Burnaby, B.C. (2012-2015).
I sometimes offer tutoring.
